Tech Roadmap

What I set out to do

People trying to break into tech kept asking me the same questions: which path should I choose, and what should I learn first? The answers were scattered across the internet. I wanted one free place that laid out the path and the resources to follow it.

What I built

A free online resource on tech careers.

• Career roadmaps for frontend development, backend development, and technical writing, showing the skills to learn and in what order.
• Curated learning material for each path: ebooks, videos, articles, and guides.
• Built in the open. The project was open source, and 30 contributors helped shape it.

Where it is now

Archived. Keeping every roadmap current across fast-moving technologies became unsustainable, so the site stays live as a reference, and the code remains open for anyone to learn from.
